Dedicated Server Set-up

We have our own dedicated web and database servers which are hosted in London Docklands at our Internet Service Provider Claranet’s data center. The data center network links directly to major European peering points and the global Internet backbone, providing the fastest access and performance for users accessing our systems.

Our Server Set-up

We have multiple web servers and database servers in place which automatically take over in the event of hardware failures to ensure little or no downtime for our clients, and help balance server load for maximum efficiency.

Firewall
The server is hosted behind a Netscreen 5GT Extended Firewall. The firewall limits and logs all activity coming into the server and allows for up to 4000 concurrent sessions per second.

Server Load Balancer
Our servers sit behind a Sever Load Balancer which is configured to evenly distribute incoming traffic among the servers, and enables us to handle high volumes of visits to our on-line systems.

Web Servers
Our web servers run Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition and Internet Information Services (IIS 6).

Database Server Cluster
We have a database cluster to support our on-line applications and hold data. The cluster provides an automatic fail over in the event of a server failure. Our Database Servers run Windows 2003 Server Standard Edition, and SQL Server 2005.

Data is collected and processed from within the EU region. No data is exported or processed outside of the EU region. Data is stored on our Database Server running SQL Server 2005. We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
