Thinking Styles

Different jobs require different thinking styles - for instance a corporate leader may need to take a long term approach to high risk issues, whereas hands-on supervisors may have to decide on solutions very quickly, basing them on concrete evidence.

Thinking Styles measures individual preferences for twenty-six types of thinking. These are sub-divided into sensory, people and task focus.

Thinking Styles can be used for mapping thinking development over time. It is ideal to identify who has the capacity to meet the cognitive requirements of new responsibilities, a new job or promotion, and where thinking quality and strength of working relationships are critical for work success. It identifies how preferred thinking preferences drive behaviour and communication style, and provides insights into how these preferences affect the cognitive strategies and social relationships of people at work.

Thinking Styles is only available to accredited users. A full accreditation programme is available on an in-house basis or through open programmes, which are held at regular intervals.
